My name is Monica. I am a biology teacher, gardener, dog lover, and collage artist.

As we live through unprecedented times, ecologically and socially, I find creating to be a productive outlet. It allows me to survey the past...find tokens of brilliance, beauty, and pain in books, magazines, and yearbooks; and make something that drives me forward. I can critique, comtemplate, and acknowledge where we've been and where we're headed. Or perhaps it is a grieving method, flipping through pages in which the problems of the world were different than they are today, and remembering.
